Terms and Conditions for Lemali Safaris
Welcome to Lemali Safaris! These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Lemali Safaris and our clients (“you” or “the client”). By booking a safari or related service with us, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required to confirm your booking.
1.2. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to the safari start date.
1.3. Bookings made less than 30 days before departure require full payment at the time of booking.
1.4. Payments can be made via bank transfer or other methods specified in your invoice. Bank fees are your responsibility.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1. All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to Lemali Safaris.
2.2. Cancellation fees will apply as follows:
- More than 60 days before the safari: Full refund minus a 5% processing fee.
- 30-59 days before the safari: 50% of the total safari cost is non-refundable.
- Less than 30 days before the safari: 100% of the total safari cost is non-refundable.
2.3. Lemali Safaris is not responsible for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure events such as natural disasters, pandemics, or political instability). In such cases, we will endeavor to reschedule your safari or provide a credit for future use.
3. Alterations and Amendments
3.1. Lemali Safaris reserves the right to make minor changes to itineraries due to factors such as weather, safety, or park regulations.
3.2. Significant changes will be communicated promptly, and alternative arrangements will be made where possible.
3.3. If changes are requested by you after booking, additional costs may apply.
4. Travel Insurance
4.1. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. This should cover medical expenses, trip cancellations, loss of personal belongings, and emergency evacuation.
4.2. Lemali Safaris is not liable for any losses incurred as a result of insufficient insurance coverage.
5. Health and Safety
5.1. Clients are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and in good health to participate in the safari.
5.2. It is your responsibility to take appropriate vaccinations and preventive medications (e.g., malaria prophylaxis) as advised by your healthcare provider.
5.3. Lemali Safaris and its staff will take reasonable precautions to ensure your safety but cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses during the trip.
6. Liability
6.1. Lemali Safaris acts as an agent for third-party suppliers (e.g., lodges, airlines, transport providers) and cannot be held liable for any delays, cancellations, or service failures by these suppliers.
6.2. While we strive to provide accurate and high-quality services, Lemali Safaris shall not be held responsible for any unforeseen events beyond our control.
7. Visas and Immigration
7.1. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they have valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documents.
7.2. Lemali Safaris is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete documentation.
8. Code of Conduct
8.1. Clients are expected to respect local customs, wildlife, and park rules.
8.2. Any behavior deemed disruptive or disrespectful may result in the termination of your safari without refund.
9. Complaints and Disputes
9.1. If you have any complaints during your safari, please inform your guide or lodge manager immediately so they can address the issue.
9.2. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of completing the safari.
9.3. All disputes shall be governed by the laws of Tanzania.
10. Photography and Media
10.1. Lemali Safaris reserves the right to use photos or videos taken during the safari for promotional purposes, unless explicitly declined by the client in writing.
10.2. Clients are welcome to capture their own content but must not disrupt the safari experience or wildlife in the process.
11. Force Majeure
11.1. Lemali Safaris is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or political unrest. In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule your safari or provide alternative solutions.
